A rainy start to Wednesday brought much-needed moisture to parts of Howard County, and forecasters say additional chances for showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast over the next several days.

According to the website Precip, Big Spring received nearly one-half inch of rain during Wednesday morning's showers.

Elsewhere in the county, Coahoma received fifteen-hundredths of an inch of rainfall, while Forsan picked up seven-hundredths of an inch.
