BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- Texas Republicans redrew the state's congressional map in a special session last year to flip five Democratic-held seats, but political experts say the party may struggle to reach that number.
Democrats left the state during the summer of 2025 to try to block the redistricting vote.
They eventually returned, and Republicans passed the new map.
