CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A Corpus Christi teenager accused of trying to kill a police officer and threatening two other juveniles with a handgun is on trial this week in Nueces County.

Court records show Carlos Lee Suarez Jr., now 17, faces charges of attempted capital murder of a peace officer, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.
