CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texans can cast a line without purchasing a fishing license this weekend as Texas Parks and Wildlife celebrates Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 6.

The annual event allows residents and visitors to fish at any public body of water across Texas without needing a fishing license or endorsement for the day.

Texas Parks and Wildlife said the event is designed to introduce new anglers to the sport while allowing experienced anglers to enjoy a day on the water at no cost.
