MCKINNEY, Texas - On a blustery spring day last year, track athletes gathered under a tent at a North Texas high school stadium.

According to police, an athlete from one school took shelter under another school's tent.

A confrontation ensued, ending with 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a junior track athlete at Frisco's Memorial High School, dead from a stab wound to the chest.
