LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Governor Greg Abbott is activating state resources ahead of heavy rain and storms across Texas this week.

With multiple rounds of thunderstorms in the forecast, he ordered swift water rescue teams, search crews, DPS troopers, game wardens and medics to be ready to deploy.

Across the state, the biggest threat is flash flooding, along with damaging winds, hail and possible tornadoes.
