Michele Van Stavern stands on the brink of her second re-election bid to the Kendall County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 post she has held since 2021.

Van Stavern, 49, a Republican, easily outdistanced Democratic foe Adriann Wolfe, with 71. 5% of the 4,165 early votes cast in the race -- a 3,299-to-1,316 vote advantage in votes cast during the 12 days of early voting.

That total does not include Election Day balloting.
