DENTON, Texas - Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the city of Denton over plans for gender-neutral changing rooms at a Pride event scheduled for this weekend at the Quakertown Civic Center.

The lawsuit centers on "Big Gay Swim Day," a June 7 event organized by two nonprofit groups - PRIDEDENTON and OUTreach Denton - which had advertised the event would feature gender-neutral changing rooms.

Paxton argues that arrangement would allow men to use the same changing rooms as women and children, in violation of the Texas Women's Privacy Act.
