WACO, Texas - A portion of University Parks Drive in downtown Waco will close for approximately six months beginning Monday, Nov. 9, as construction gets underway on the Barron's Branch project, according to the city of Waco.

In a Facebook post, the city said University Parks Drive will be fully closed between Washington Avenue and Bosque Boulevard while crews complete utility improvements.

Pedestrian access along the river will remain open.
